* Baguio-based performance, visual and installation artist Rene Aquitania passed away on January 18, 2022. Idan Cruz happened to be shooting Lav Diaz's film Essential Truths of the Lake when he heard the shocking news. The artist's last recollection of his friend was of him being led around The Drawing Room Gallery by a metal chain leash. Idan asked his director to shoot this impromptu homage. *
